# The Home of Israel
<!-- page:294 -->

The Home of Israel Come out from the nations, O Israel, Why longer in jeapordy roam? The Lord through his prophets is calling, His Spirit is calling thee home! The land that belonged to thy fathers, The home once so sacred, is thine; Prepare for an exodus thither To the land of the palm and the vine; Fly home where thy heritage calls thee, Fly home to thy loved Palestine! As out of the nations He calls thee, Obeying His counsel and will, The promise to Abraham given The Lord will in justice fulfil. Jerusalem, rising in grandeur, Shall be the great center of light, To shine o'er the world in its glory Of liberty, justice and right; Where Peace shall extol her great blessings. And War shall no longer affright. Awake from thy slumber, 0 Israel, Thy destiny, long since forecast, Declares, in prophetical vision, Deliverance for thee at last. The land that belonged to thy fathers, The home once so sacred, is thine; Prepare for an exodus tither To the land of the palm and the vine; Fly home where thy country awaits thee, Fly home to thy loved Palestine! Albuquerque, N. M. Joseph Longking Townsend
