A. of the Granite stake was held in the stake house, March 30 to April 1, 1911. As an evidence of the interest taken in the contest, which included many excellent musical numbers, the entries of this season more than trebled that of any previous season. There were forty-five entries, including choirs and individual singers, and about three hundred contestants. The contest was pronounced a complete success, and was well attended from all parts of the stake during the whole time. J. E. Pixton of the General Board of the stake had charge of the affair, and the committee consisted of J. S. Cornwall, Lisle Bradford, Margaret Summerhays and Catherine Gabbott. Several hundred dollars in prizes were distributed.
