# Walking on the Waves: A Poem

<!-- page:89 -->

WALKING ON THE WAVES.
We have an immortal Brother — a King, Even until our earthly goal is won,
Who once walked over the sea; From babyhood to the grave.
An object lesson he then meant to bring, Brother, help us, do thou give us faith,
Of faith unto you and me. As we walk o'er life's dark sea,
^nd thus when the waves of our life Keep us from sinking as faint Peter sank
beat high, And help us to walk like Thee.
On that tempestuous sea, And thus when great tempests of grief
Let us know that the God of life is nigh, arise,
Who once walked on Galilee. With sin and sorrow to o'ercome,
In Him a faith, all supreme, bears us on, With our faith firm fixed on eternal skies,
And bids us be strong and brave, Safely guide us back to home.
Richfield, Utah. Annie G. Lauritzen.
