# Praise Too Dearly Loved: A Poem

<!-- page:483 -->

PRAISE TOO DEARLY LOVED.

              Praise too dearly loved, or warmly sought,
              Enfeebles all internal strength of thought;
              And the weak soul, within itself unblest,]
              Leans for all pleasure on another's breast.
                                                  Goldsmith.
